The association “Guardians of the Hearth”, under the patronage of Ministry of Trade, Tourism and Telecommunications, organizes the manifestation “Serbian Table Festival”, which will be held on September 10 and 11th (weekend) this year in Shopping center BIG Rakovica.

The goal of the event is to contribute to preservation of Serbian gastronomically heritage, present the culture of dining of our local area, with the desire that the festival, as a multisensual event, will make a unified step forward in presenting our cuisine as a true Serbian tourist brand, and become a traditional meeting point for hosts and guests on the cultural and tourist map of Serbia.

The festival nourishes the peculiarities and customs of the Serbian tradition through centuries, combining it with spiritual experiences, traditional and original Serbian music, artistic depictions, folk costumes, cantillation and folklore… An example of this is “Slava” which, as the only element of the non-material cultural heritage of Serbia, was registered on the UNESCO Representative List.

Through various activities in the exhibition, competitive, educational and cultural program, a large number of participants and exhibitors will be presented to visitors to the festival. At one place there will be current champions and more respected competitors from different manifestations in Serbia, as well as food and drink producers who are making Serbia proud.
